The Melan-100 can be used:
1. As a very fast screening device (just look for an abnormal pupil light reflex) and if the response is not normal investigate
further or refer the patient to an ophthalmologist .
2. As an advanced diagnostic tool to differentiate between ophthalmological diseases and their origins (no response in
BLUE means CNS/Optic Nerve damage)

It is a hand held, battery operated unit and comes with a Pelican case, universal charger for the Li-Ion battery, European
plug adapter and a wall mounted holder.
